First thing is first, you need to decide which route you want to take. Do you want a couple of hours tuition per week, or do you wish to go full steam ahead, and go for a one week intense course?

At North East Driving School, we pride ourselves in doing things a bit differently. Once you decide to go ahead and book with us, we will give you access to your theory and hazard perception material, so you can start studying from the get go. Don’t worry if you’re not confident with the answers; that’s fine, we wouldn’t expect you to be!

We will give you everything you need to build your confidence up.

Upon booking with us, we will send you a copy of ‘The Official Highway Code’, and The Department of Transport’s ‘Know Your Traffic Signs’ books to study from, as well as giving you access to online study material. And If that’s not enough, we’ve even got a computer room set up for you to come down and study with us for a couple of hours, whenever you want… as well as having an instructor on hand should you need any help with your questions.

This is advantageous for a number of reasons:

1. Should you wish to take on the week of intensive study, this eliminates the possibility of having things go wrong whilst you’re training. We know a few training schools who try and pencil their candidates in during the week – not only does this take time away from your week of tuition, but it also knocks candidates confidence, and puts a spanner in works in terms of your driving test should you get a result that we don’t want. Remember that you have to pass your theory and hazard tests before you can sit your driving test.
2. You’ll have a good idea of the signs and their meaning before you start your lessons. This will give you one less thing to worry about during your lessons. Ultimately, there’s one less thing to try and learn.

Made up of 1 -2 -1 training with our experienced instructors, we offer the following packages:

When you come on board with NEDS, we recommend your undertaking lessons of between 2 and 4 hours. We believe offering a full week of intense lessons is often too much for new candidates to cope with, however, if a new candidate wishes to do it all in a full week, we can cater to this. 

Having lessons of a duration of between 2 and 4 hour will also allow you to fit your lessons around your busy lifestyle: after work, or on a weekend.
